Over the last several years you have been hearing the terms digital workflows and digital dentistry. Let’s dig in to what this means. X-rays are used to collect data to tell us what is going on in the oral cavity. Newer technology called digital dentistry uses an intraoral scanner (wand) and gives us real time data.
These scanning devices increase the workflow efficiencies and allows for more predictable diagnosis and simultaneously allows us to better educate our patients and explain treatment plans with visual aids. The conversation is more meaningful and there’s no radiation. Patient scans can be completed in as little as 60 seconds. Email us @ info@prestigeoralsurgery.com
